Stunning abstract Jacqueline! Love the fine details and textures in this marvelous creative work with an interplay of shadows! Really beautiful! There is a saying: there is no sun without a shadow) Stunning! FL

The title alone is extraordinary! And you appear to have done just that Jacqueline.Painted so beautifully in an abstract way that connects me with this beautiful earth, with shadows. And such a synchronicity because earlier this afternoon I was sitting outside in the sun observing a potted begonia. The flower was so beautiful and full of color. But when I noticed its' shadow on the hot stone paving,it was so captivating, that it drew my attention more than the flower! Shadow watching is a lovely pastime ! Watching your beautiful and always unexpected creations is a lovely pastime also. L/F

So awesome Jane...that you and I were having the same creative experience simultaneously...this canvas was literally sitting in a shadow when I noticed it this morning. I too, was enjoying the shadow play on my art. I chose to invert the shadow into a positive light in an affirmation to embrace all of "my" shadows and turning them into a positive...which endowed this painting with a beautiful earthy look and feel. The title reflects how I can not only "paint" with the shadows literally...and also how the painting was/is "with" a shadow, but also how I can reshape and reinvent what may seem a negative into a "positive". There is much to be learned and gained in seeing with new eyes! Thank you for being the first to write such a lovely and thoughtful compliment my friend :) Thank you too for making watching my art a lovely pastime, I am flattered, humbled and grateful...as you and your art breathe a beautiful breath of serenity into my life. xo
