Artist's Description
aka "Lifeboat" was created for my beautiful friend Dianna. Dianna had been battling cancer for 2 years. She asked me to paint her "ship coming in", and I, who doesn't do well with realism, gave it my best. The result is this little red boat, sailing over dark water, staying afloat, peaceful. I named it Lifeboat and dedicated it to her life and survival...I gave it to her for Christmas this past year...in January she was cancer free and remains to this day.
Adding a new dedication for this work...to my dear friend Saskia. xo
